Chapter 37 Being Gentle with Each Other
ai Lian suddenly rushed forward from behind and stood in front of Li Yun. There was a sharp crackling sound as the woman slapped Cai Lian instead; Cai Lian staggered but still managed to protect Li Yu...Chapter 37 Gentle Coexistence
The carriage entered the city and went straight to the Rong王府.
Although Yun Qianyue was carried in Rao Jing's arms, she still knew that the traces of the wheels were not those of the Cloud王府. She turned her head to look at him and asked, "Won't you take me back to the Cloud王府"
"From today onwards, you will live in the Rong王府," Rao Jing said.
Yun Qianyue looked askance at him and said, "After just a few days of cold treatment from you, Lord Rao doesn't feel it's too childish"
Rao Jing tightened his grip on her and chuckled, "Miss Yun, do you think I didn't make you suffer enough when I gave you the cold shoulder"
Yun Qianyue made a light sound of displeasure.
Rao Jing sighed softly, "I've decided not to punish myself."
She felt that his body had also become much thinner; even though they were wearing clothes, she could still feel the bones under her back. She originally wanted to reclaim some ground by saying something, but now she couldn't say it anymore and thus gave up.
Rao Jing turned his head to look at her with a warm smile on his lips.
The carriage returned to the Rong王府 and had just stopped when Manlai's voice was heard from outside: "Prince Shizi Rao, you've come back just in time. Otherwise, I would have gone to the Plum Grove of Northern Mountain to find you."
"What is it" Rao Jing slowly sat up and asked.
"The Regent King received a letter from Prince Nanliang about his abdication and requests your presence in the palace for consultation," Manlai reported.
Yun Qianyue was taken aback; when she left, she heard Gu Shaqing say that his uncle had plans to abdicate. She hadn't expected it to happen so soon. She looked at Rao Jing.
Rao Jing seemed to ponder for a moment and then said to the outside: "I understand. I'll head to the palace right away! Tell the Regent King that I'm on my way."
"Yes, sir! I'll return immediately with your message," Manlai answered and hurriedly left.
Rao Jing turned his head to look at Yun Qianyue and said softly, "You go in first. I'll come back for lunch and eat with you."
Yun Qianyue frowned, looking at Rao Jing somewhat unwillingly; they had only just made up and hadn't said a word yet.
Rao Jing reached out to pat her head and smiled, his eyes soft like water. "Wait for me to come back before we talk. Anyway, you're going to live in the Rong王府 with me, so there's plenty of time for anything you want to do."
Yun Qianyue blushed and snapped at him: "I'm not捨不得you; don't be delusional." With that, she pulled back the curtain and jumped out of the carriage.
Rao Jing chuckled and looked outside. He saw Rao Xi standing by the door and instructed him: "Rao Xi, take Miss Qianyue to the Purple Bamboo Courtyard. She caught a chill from the plum blossoms today; see that she takes a hot bath for an hour."
Rao Xi had come out to greet Manlai because he was sent by the palace's chief steward. He was surprised to see Yun Qianyue jumping off the carriage and then noticed Rao Jing’s smile again after days of gloominess. Thinking that Prince Shizi must have made up with Miss Yun, he nodded happily and said: "I know, I'll take Sister Yun in right away."
Rao Jing nodded and pulled down the curtain; Xian Ge whipped the reins as the carriage left the Rong王府.
When Rao Xi saw that the carriage had left, he looked at Yun Qianyue and said hurriedly: "Sister Yun, I'll take you in. It's good to see Prince Shizi smiling again after so long; everyone here has been on edge for days without a laugh or sigh of relief. When Prince Shizi doesn't smile, no one else dares either... his study is lit every night and the people in Rong王府 haven't slept well..."
Looking at Rao Xi who had grown taller and more mature since half a year ago, Yun Qianyue said with amusement: "Is it really that exaggerated"
Rao Xi nodded firmly, "What I say is not exaggerated; in fact, it's even worse."
Yun Qianyue glanced at the golden plaque of 'Rong王府' and thought back to six days ago when she fainted there. She couldn't help but feel a sense of emotion as she walked inside and asked: "What about that horse"
Rao Xi, being perceptive, quickly replied in a low voice: "Prince Shizi had it buried with honors."
Yun Qianyue nodded and didn't say anything more.
Rong Xi led Yun Qianyue through the front courtyard, passed under an archway, and headed towards the rear garden. All along, there was no sound in Rong Wang Fu; maidservants and servants were each fulfilling their roles. Many who saw Yun Qianyue had widened their eyes, while some, like Rong Xi, showed obvious joy at her presence.
Yun Qianyue started to believe what Rong Xi said and thought that Rong Jing really did lord it over Rong Wang Fu as if he were the Buddha. She couldn't help but think sarcastically about how everyone would be jolted by even a sneeze of his.
When they reached the Purple Bamboo Grove, Qing Shang must have received news and was waiting eagerly at the gate; when she saw Yun Qianyue arrive, she hurriedly greeted her with a bow. Her eyes were slightly red from emotion, making it difficult for her to speak.
The sight of Qing Shang made Yun Qianyue's heart tremble a little; she smiled and said, "Qing Shang, there is no need to be so overjoyed. I've just been away for a few days."
"Miss Yun, you don't know how the Young Master has been these past few days… Now that you have reconciled with him, if not, I would have had to beg you," Qing Shang wiped her eyes.
Yun Qianyue's thoughts turned; without needing to be told, she knew what Rong Jing was going through. That person was best at torturing himself. She sighed and comforted her, "Alright, I won't give him any trouble from now on. When he gets angry, I'll try my best to soothe him. I'll do everything in my power not to make things difficult for you."
Qing Shang nodded repeatedly with a fervent look.
Gazing at her like this made Yun Qianyue feel somewhat guilty as if she had committed some unspeakable sin.
Qing Shang waved to Rong Xi, who returned. She led the way while saying, "The Young Master usually has a good temper, but he's different with you… I've never seen him like this before; it really scared me this time. But that day you were frightening as well, unconscious and nearly killing your horse from exhaustion... It’s no wonder the Young Master was furious..."
Yun Qianyue reflected again and realized this had to be a lesson for her; even if she was in a hurry, worrying those who loved her was wrong. She had already worried him when she went to Nanzhao, and then coming back with such an impact on him made it understandable that he would be angry.
"After escorting you home that day, the Young Master vomited…" Qing Shang realized what she was about to say and immediately stopped.
Yun Qianyue's steps faltered as she looked at Qing Shang. "What happened"
Qing Shang turned her head, glanced carefully at Yun Qianyue, hesitated for a moment, then whispered softly, "The Young Master doesn’t want me to tell you this, but I think it’s important that you know. After escorting you home that day, the Young Master vomited blood and stood under the wind in front of that peach tree in the courtyard all night long. The next day he caught a cold but still insisted on going to court; upon returning, he didn’t speak or take medicine, again standing by the peach tree—none of us could persuade him. It was only when the old王爺 came and hit the Young Master with his cane, scolding him that the Young Master returned to his room, but even then he didn't sleep and stood in the room all night long before going back to court the next day. He spent days in his study after returning… How many nights has he not slept"
Yun Qianyue’s face paled, her heart ached as she said somewhat bitterly, "He doesn't look like someone who hasn’t slept."
Qing Shang said softly, "That's because the Young Master has great martial arts skills; he practices each morning and sits in meditation for an hour to keep himself alert. It looks as if nothing is wrong with him, but only we know that he’s just holding on."
Yun Qianyue pursed her lips and said no more.
"The Young Master treats you extremely well. I don't want to speak out of turn or say anything bad about Miss, but I want to tell you this. Please don’t blame me for speaking up; the Young Master considers you more important than his own life. We who serve him understand this deeply. When he gets your letter, he smiles spontaneously and is in good spirits, while when there’s no news from you, he's silent...I feel that the Young Master isn't good at expressing himself; regardless of what he does for you behind the scenes, he keeps it all to himself and makes us do so too. I’m telling you these things even if it means being punished by the Young Master," Qing Shang lowered her head and changed tone, "but I have no regrets about saying them."
Yun Qianyue let out a soft sigh; she looked at Qing Shang with a gentle smile. “I understand.” She then added, "From now on, I know what to do."
Qing Shang nodded and remained silent.
Earlier, Yun Qianyue had been upset, but now she felt regret; she shouldn't have rushed back without considering her health. Living through two lifetimes hadn’t taught her how to love someone; instead, she only protected her feelings carefully out of fear for his safety, knowing well her numerous flaws. But the more cautious she was, the more likely she would shatter him completely. Perhaps he needed nothing but assurance, and she had never given it.
Exiting the Purple Bamboo Grove and entering the Purple Bamboo Courtyard, they could smell the scent of peach blossoms in this cold winter; with all areas permeated by plum blossom fragrance, the scent of peach flowers was particularly unique.
In the courtyard, a peach tree stood at the southwest corner, its buds about to bloom, more vibrant than half a month ago.
Yun Qianyue turned and walked towards that peach tree; Qing Shang followed closely behind.
Arriving under the peach tree, Yun Qianyue looked up at it with blooming flowers standing proudly. Even before they were fully open, their beauty was already breathtaking. She suddenly didn’t dare to imagine what state of mind Rong Jing had been in when he stood here looking at this peach tree. This was the first time she realized that everything she did for him paled in comparison to what he had done for her.
A soft sigh dissipated into the wind; closing her eyes, she recalled the past decade.
"Miss Yun, please return to your room! Your health is still fragile; there will be plenty of time later to admire flowers. As you just returned from Bishan Plum Garden on a warm day but in winter, it's still cold. The Young Master instructed that you should take a hot bath to drive out the chill," Qing Shang reminded gently.
Yun Qianyue nodded and opened her eyes; turning around, she walked towards her room.
Entering Rong Jing’s chambers, Qing Shang opened the secret door leading to the hot spring pool. Yun Qianyue entered the bath; Qing Shang followed in concern to assist.
Yun Qianyue undressed as Qing Shang sincerely said, "You’ve lost so much weight!
"I'll try my best to gain some weight and get fatter when the peach blossoms in your Shizi's place bloom," Yun Qianyue said.
Qingshang immediately nodded.
The two chatted aimlessly. In the few nights since Yun Qianyue woke up from her coma, she had not slept well and soon felt sleepy. While chatting with Qingshang, she fell asleep.
Qingshang stopped talking and noticed that it was still less than an hour according to the hourglass. She stayed by her side.
An hour later, Qingshang wanted to wake Yun Qianyue up but found that she had already woken herself up. The first thing she asked was, "Has your Shizi returned"
Qingshang immediately smiled and shook her head, saying, "Shizi hasn't come back yet! I was just about to wake you."
"I'll go out and wait for him." Yun Qianyue got out of the hot spring pool and put on a clean soft robe that Qingshang had brought. Then she returned to the room, curled up in Rong Jing's bed, covered herself with his quilt, and felt at ease when she smelled the faint scent of him lingering on the bedding and in the room.
"Rest for a bit more. I'll wake you once Shizi returns," Qingshang said.
"I’ll read a book for now! I’ll wait for him." Yun Qianyue picked up a book from beside her bed.
Qingshang responded and added some charcoal to the brazier before leaving through the door.
Seeing that this book was titled "The Peach Blossom Plan," Yun Qianyue raised an eyebrow, opened it slowly, read for a few pages, and could not help but laugh. It turned out that this 'Peach Blossom Plan' was different from 'Peach Blossom Record'. Instead, it was about the interpretation of romance in the city streets, elaborately expounding various love methods—mostly how men can win women's hearts, with examples provided. She found it hard to imagine Rong Jing holding this book and reading it; he must be taking it very seriously.
Unconsciously, she had read half of the book when Rong Jing still hadn't returned. Qingshang pushed open the door and said, "Miss Yun Qianyue, I will first bring you your noon meal. Shizi won’t return until afternoon."
"Did he send someone to say that" Yun Qianyue asked.
Qingshang shook her head.
"Then he definitely will come back; I’ll wait for him." Yun Qianyue lowered her head and continued reading the book.
Qingshang hesitated, closed the door, turned around, and was delighted to shout, "Shizi has returned!"
Yun Qianyue looked out of the window and saw Rong Jing calmly entering the Purple Bamboo Garden. Despite having not slept for a few days or rested well, his appearance remained refined and elegant. She immediately put down her book, pushed aside the quilt, and quickly went to meet him.
When she reached the door, Rong Jing was also at the entrance; as the room door opened, a pearl curtain separated them inside and outside.
Rong Jing seemed to be stunned for an instant but then smiled. However, before his smile could fully blossom, he frowned and asked Yun Qianyue, "Why aren't you wearing shoes"
Yun Qianyue reached through the pearl curtain with her hand and hugged his waist softly, saying, "I missed you."
Rong Jing's face instantly warmed up. He lifted Yun Qianyue in his arms, pushed aside the pearl curtain, and entered the room.
Qingshang immediately closed the door.
By the bedside, Rong Jing put Yun Qianyue down, pulled over a quilt to cover her, then sat by the bed looking at her. Yun Qianyue looked back at him; after a while, she reached out and touched his face. Rong Jing grasped her hand, leaned forward, and kissed her lips. Yun Qianyue slightly parted her red lips in response. "Tonight…" Rong Jing said faintly.
Yun Qianyue's heart trembled, took over the sentence, and seriously told him, "We are going to sleep tonight."
Rong Jing suddenly chuckled into her neck.
Yun Qianyue blushed. Looking at the man leaning half on top of her, she asked, "Why are you laughing"
Rong Jing lifted his head and looked at her flushed face with a smile, nodding in agreement, "You’re right; we should sleep tonight."
When said so seriously, it seemed very solemn but was tinged with warmth. Yun Qianyue pushed him away, saying, "So thin, like you have nothing on your bones, and I feel uncomfortable hugging you."
Rong Jing sincerely nodded, "You need to fatten up a little bit to be comfortable.
Yun Qianyue was rendered speechless and slightly hoarse by his "comfortable," coughing lightly before falling silent.
Rong Jing got up, sat upright, and gave instructions to someone outside. Qing Shang responded, and shortly after, the room door opened; food was brought in. Rong Jing picked Yun Qianyue back up and walked towards the table. He didn't place her on a seat but sat with her in his arms instead, feeding her with chopsticks.
Yun Qianyue's face turned red: "I have my own hands!"
Rong Jing smiled warmly without responding; he insisted on feeding her food. Yun Qianyue could only open her mouth to cooperate. After a few repetitions, when she couldn't stand it anymore, she snatched the chopsticks and fed him instead while Rong Jing opened his mouth with a smile.
This meal ended in mutual spoon-feeding.
After the meal, Rong Jing carried Yun Qianyue back to bed. He said, "There are matters at the Hall of State Council; I..."
Yun Qianyue held on tightly: "You're not allowed to go! Without you, isn't it still the same old world What did the Nie family pay you Your salary doesn’t even match what you spend on a meal. You can't risk your life working for them."
Rong Jing smiled.
Yun Qianyue reached out to pull him onto the bed: "Stay with me and sleep, or talk until I fall asleep; just don’t go."
Rong Jing nodded, followed her into bed, and embraced her soft body. He inhaled her fragrance softly before sighing: "Yun Qianyue, we won't fight again! My joy comes from you alone. Without you, the sun doesn’t shine on me anymore."
Yun Qianyue’s eyes stung with tears; she embraced him back, saying, “I am the same.”
Rong Jing didn't speak further, embracing her tighter as if trying to embed her into his body.
Yun Qianyue remained silent too, relishing this warmth after their recent hardships and long separation.
It seemed that no more words were needed to prove their feelings for each other or how much they meant to one another. Sometimes, when emotions run deep, any words fall short.
A while later, Rong Jing’s breathing evened out. Yun Qianyue looked at him and noticed a faint shadow under his eyes; she reached out to touch him but was afraid of waking him up. She nestled close in his embrace, watching him quietly.
This man burned his life for her emotions, clearly aware that he would never stop loving her in this lifetime.
Rong Jing’s sleepiness confirmed Qing Shang’s words: He hadn’t slept for days. Yun Qianyue watched him without feeling sleepy herself; from afternoon to night until late into the night, as she thought about many things and nothing all at once, drowsiness only came early next morning.
At noon on the second day, Yun Qianyue finally woke up, Rong Jing gone beside her. She stretched lazily, hugged the blanket, rolled around in bed comfortably before calling out, "Qing Shang!"
Qing Shang immediately responded and walked in to see Yun Qianyue awake; she smiled warmly: "Miss Yun, you sleep longer than Young Master Rong. He overslept today and missed court, saying something about 'short spring nights' before leaving with energy. He instructed me not to disturb you and told you to rest."
Yun Qianyue looked at her smilingly: "Did the Regent send anyone yesterday when Young Master didn’t go to the Hall of State Council"
"The Regent sent someone to call him, but I turned them away; no one else came later," Qing Shang shook her head.
Yun Qianyue thought that Nie Tianyi must be calm now and either let go or realized his efforts were futile. So, he didn’t force things. Or was it because of the many court affairs as Regent Regardless, for her sake, all outcomes would do. She smiled without pondering further: "Tell me what’s happening outside."
Qing Shang immediately said: "The Southern Liang King announced his abdication and went into seclusion with the former emperor on Mount Jiutai; they will no longer concern themselves with state affairs. A decree was issued for the Crown Prince to ascend as king, a coronation ceremony scheduled in half a month. The Southern Liang King also sent letters of abdication to all countries."
Yun Qianyue nodded.
"News from Western Yan: The National Guardian Goddess is critically ill and seems to be near death," Qing Shang continued.
Yun Qianyue thought that Xiyuan Yue had just returned to reunite with his parents, likely soon parting forever; she sighed, got up and dressed before telling Qing Shang: "I’ll write him a letter later."
Qing Shang nodded, seeing Yun Qianyue no longer ask questions. She left to get food.
After the meal, Yun Qianyue sat at her desk and wrote Xiyuan Yue a letter; even though there was nothing more she could do for the National Guardian Goddess’s illness, sending him a letter would surely ease some of his distress.
A letter to Xi Yanyue was written first, followed by one to Nan Lingrui. She then asked Qing Chang, "Is the young master in your family exchanging letters with Zishu"
Qing Chang nodded her head. "Yes! The young master received a letter from Jade Prince just a few days ago."
Yun Qianyue was somewhat displeased that those two men excluded her, it was rather excessive. She then picked up the brush and wrote another letter to Zishu, in which she criticized him thoroughly for ignoring her and threatened to beat anyone who dared to report him if he failed to write back to her. It took three pages before her hand ached too much and she gave up. She folded the letters together and handed them to Qing Chang, instructing her: "Send these out with your young master's messenger."
Qing Chang nodded and left.
Yun Qianyue stood from her chair, stretched her arms and legs, then went to the window to admire the peach tree in the courtyard. Rong Jing didn't come back at noon, so Yun Qianyue had lunch with Qing Chang. After they were done eating, they chatted together.
The day passed peacefully without any incident.
That evening, it was already dark when Rong Jing returned to the manor. As usual, Yun Qianyue went out to greet him and frowned at his tired expression, "You're just a chancellor, how could you look more exhausted than His Majesty"
Rong Jing smiled down at her as he scooped her into his arms, his face warm with affection. "As the Regent, I oversee state affairs. As Chancellor, I lead the civil and military officials. This position is not an easy one."
"I saw that Chancellor Qin looked very relaxed sitting in this position; it's only since you took over that things have become difficult." Yun Qianyue could easily imagine how Emperor Night Tianyi would pile all the state affairs onto him.
"That was then, and this is now," Rong Jing smiled as he seemed to prefer not to talk about matters of state that might make her unhappy. He shifted the topic instead: "You look in good spirits today."
Yun Qianyue laughed and touched her face. Love could hurt but it also nurtured.
Rong Jing looked at her indulgently, kissed her cheek, then led her back to their chambers.
After dinner, the sky was completely dark as they lit a lamp in the room. Rong Jing held Yun Qianyue on his lap as they sat chatting on the couch. Neither of them wanted to talk about serious matters so they spoke in fits and starts. As it got late, he carried her to bed where they cuddled together and fell asleep.
The next morning when Rong Jing woke up, Yun Qianyue opened her eyes as well.
Turning his head to look at her with a smile, he asked softly, "Do you want to go to the Hall of State Council today"
Yun Qianyue looked at him affectionately but hesitantly. "I'd like to go, but I don't want to wait for you outside. It's so boring and I can't even see you."
Rong Jing smiled and offered her his hand. "Let me take you in with me, stay close by my side. How about that"
Yun Qianyue’s eyes brightened. "Really"
"Yes," Rong Jing nodded.
She blinked and looked at his outstretched hand. "The Hall of State Council is a place where women don't go, right If you take me there, won't people criticize you or even impeach you"
"Maybe," Rong Jing mused for a moment before raising an eyebrow to look at her. "But would I be afraid"
Yun Qianyue's smile bloomed into a big grin as she put her hand in his, determinedly saying: "If you aren't afraid, then I'll go! If anyone dares to impeach you, find an opportunity to dismiss him from office. Or if that doesn't work, I’ll secretly beat up the ones who dare to impeach you until they don’t dare do it again. And if beating them isn't effective, I'll dress up as a ghost at night and scare their wives and children."
Rong Jing chuckled quietly and shook his head with a smile: "The others are fine but there's no need for the ghost act. If you go dressed like one, I’ll sleep alone on a cold plank bed all night long without being able to fall asleep."
Yun Qianyue found this reasonable and nodded seriously.
The two of them got ready, Yun Qianyue held the hand warmer as they left the room. Just outside the Purple Bamboo Grove, she saw someone sitting under a pavilion with a book in their hands – it was Shen Zhao.
Upon seeing Rong Jing and Yun Qianyue walking out of the manor holding hands, Shen Zhao paused for a moment before getting up to greet him. He bowed respectfully: "Young Master Jing!"
Rong Jing smiled faintly. "Mr. Shen, you needn't be so polite. There is still about one month until the year-end imperial examination. This year, Prince Xiao will oversee it, which differs from previous years. Though he appears to have a free spirit, he has a thorough understanding of politics and favors military strategy."
Shen Zhao was momentarily taken aback before suddenly enlightened. "Thank you, Young Master Jing for your advice."
Rong Jing's words were concise and clear, and after that, he did not speak any further, pulling Yun Qianyue forward.
Yun Qianyue noticed that besides the fleeting glance Shen Zhao gave her when she and Rong Jing came out, he did not even look at her once. She thought to herself that given this identity of hers, she probably had not left a good impression on Shen Zhao's heart. She scratched Rong Jing’s palm with her finger and blamed him for it.
Rong Jing knew what was going through Yun Qianyue’s mind and turned his head to give her a gentle smile.
Yun Qianyue felt as if she had been electrocuted. She looked up at the sky before finally saying, "Sir Rong, you could stop shocking me with your energy. My cultivation level is shallow; I can't handle it."
"Hm How many years has this little fox trained for Is that all there is to her" Rong Jing took over.
"Only ten years! There's still a long way to go!" Yun Qianyue said.
Rong Jing chuckled and slowly, with deep amusement in his tone said, "It’s quite shallow indeed. But don’t worry, I’ll help you improve."
Yun Qianyue looked at him speechlessly, “Double cultivation”
Rong Jing suddenly coughed and blushed a little. He was speechless for the moment.
Yun Qianyue wanted to burst out laughing but held it back, making her face red as well. Actually, double cultivation in martial arts did exist, where both male and female used natural conditions to enhance their skills together. But this type of dual cultivation was very rare and generally not practiced by people.
After some time, Rong Jing muttered softly, "That's fine."
This time it was Yun Qianyue’s turn to cough suddenly, her face red as fire.
Rong Jing gently patted her back. Yun Qianyue pushed him away in a scolding manner, and he let his hand fall again. She pushed him off once more; the two of them continued like this until they left through the rear courtyard.
Shen Zhao watched as the pair left, looking rather confused.
Rong Xi happened to walk over at that moment and saw Shen Zhao, patting his shoulder in a grown-up manner. "Sir Shen, are you thinking so deeply"
Shen Zhao brought back his gaze, glancing at Rong Xi before asking with puzzlement, "Is Young Lord Jing and Miss Qianyue always like this when they're together"
"How exactly" Rong Xi asked Shen Zhao in confusion.
"Young Lord Jing was smiling," said Shen Zhao.
Rong Xi suddenly chuckled, quickly asking if "Lord Young Master" smiled differently than usual. "It's just… well, like snow lotuses blooming."
Shen Zhao responded that he had never seen a snow lily before.
"Oh," Rong Xi said, immediately changing his words. "Then it’s like flowers blooming in the springtime: extremely gentle, extremely beautiful… Anyway, it's just different from how Young Lord normally smiles. When you see him smile that way, you feel as if the sun is shining down."
Shen Zhao thought for a moment before nodding.
"That’s right! Only when Young Master is with Cloud Sister will he be like this; never otherwise," said Rong Xi somewhat sadly while patting Shen Zhao's shoulder. He comforted him, "You’ll get used to it soon. Cloud Sister is precious and a treasure of Lord Young Master, so don’t offend her. I tell you, there’s no one in the whole of Heaven Saint who dares offend her. The people from Rong王府 used to think she didn't match up to Young Lord but now they are all looking forward to her coming; as long as he is here at the Rong王府, everyone acts like it's New Year’s Day. If anyone makes a small mistake, they don’t get in trouble, otherwise even small mistakes become big ones. She is now a deity that Rong王府 has invited."
Shen Zhao frowned and asked, "What about Miss Chu Young Lord Jing trusts her so much…"
"You mean the Lady of the Chu Clan" Rong Xi shook his head. “She’s never appeared at Rong王府! Young Master only has eyes for Yun Sister.” After that, he continued in a grown-up voice, "Don’t think about this anymore; just remember not to offend Yun Sister." With those words, he walked off.
Shen Zhao pondered over what Rong Xi had said and frowned even more. A moment later, he shook his head and returned his attention to reading the book.
Rong Jing and Yun Qianyue arrived at the entrance of Rong王府, climbed into a carriage, and headed toward the Imperial Palace.
