From Yan Luoxi's position, the surroundings were vast fields stretching far and near. Occasionally, some blurry dark shadows appeared, which were scattered rural cottages; however, their outlines had become indistinct in the heavy rain.

After being battered by this sudden downpour, every part of her body was utterly exhausted. She lay on the ground with continuous rainwater dripping into her mouth and nose, making it seem as though she could hardly breathe, as if death would come at any moment.

Just when she felt hopeless and wanted to close her eyes, a car approached from afar. Its headlights pierced through the rain curtain, looking exceptionally bright.

Yan Luoxi didn't have much hope left; in the pouring rain, she weakly waved her hand, unsure whether this tiny gesture would catch anyone's attention inside the vehicle.

Fortunately, someone noticed her. The car sped toward her and suddenly braked beside her, causing waves of water to splash onto Yan Luoxi almost hitting her face.

Yan Luoxi didn't have time for curses; she gratefully looked up at the car door that had opened in the rain.

A tall man stepped out of the vehicle. The heavy rain instantly drenched his high-end casual wear. Through the rain curtain, Yan Luoxi carefully observed and when she recognized who it was, she wished she could immediately dive into a nearby sewer drain.

Lǐ njū stood high above, looking down at Yán Luòxī who was crouching on the ground with a pale face and a disheveled appearance. Filled with hatred, he gritted his teeth but didn’t have time to scold her before bending down to lift her out of the puddle and quickly putting her in the back seat of the car.

Finally able to sit inside the warm and comfortable car, Yán Luòxī couldn't help letting out a soft sigh. Lǐ njū got into the car afterwards, frowning when he saw that she was still trembling.

With a gloomy expression, he turned on the heater and silently took off his dry undershirt without saying anything, handing it back to Yán Luòxī: "Take off all your clothes and put this shirt on."

"Ah!" Drenched by the heavy rain, Yán Luòxī's mind wasn't functioning well, but she still knew that she shouldn't casually take off her clothes in front of a man, especially him. Even though her soaked clothing was dripping water onto the leather seats forming puddles, she weakly shook her head: "No need, I’m already drenched anyway."
