despite appearing weak, Li An clung on even tighter."Luoxi... look at how Dad has beaten me up; have you had your revenge now Let's stop fighting, okay... Luoxi, please don't be angry with me anymore....Chapter 104: Come to My Room, Master Li's Domineering Affection for His Captive Bride, Romantic Fiction
Upon hearing his brother say this, Li An couldn't help but shiver in revulsion and said, "Brother, you're terrifying! Won’t you be afraid of never finding a sister-in-law if you continue like this"
In Li Yi's mind, the slender and tall figure suddenly appeared again. He frowned with annoyance and lightly smacked Li An on his forehead, saying, "You naughty boy, how dare you curse your brother like that!"
The older brother didn't hold back at all this time. Although it hurt Li An, he was in such a good mood that he didn’t mind being hit or scolded by his brother.
After enduring a series of trials and tribulations, Yan Luoxi and Li An were finally able to meet again after their narrow escape from death.
Yan Luoxi was pushed into Li An's room by the medical staff. This was a spacious VIP ward; Li An’s bed was located near the window, while another empty one beside him was clearly prepared for Yan Luoxi.
The moment he saw Yan Luoxi being wheeled in, Li An was so excited that he tried to sit up despite his wounds pulling painfully and causing beads of sweat to form on his forehead.
"Lie down properly. If you dare move again, I'll immediately have them transfer her to another room," said Li Yi with both concern and frustration as he pressed his brother's shoulder and whispered sternly at him.
Li An didn't dare misbehave anymore and could only follow Yan Luoxi with his eyes.
The sky outside the window was already very dark, but the bright light inside the ward made Li An’s pallor and pain hard to conceal. Recalling the scene of the car accident, each detail brought chills to Yan Luoxi's heart.
Not long ago, the two of them were still revolving around the icy edge of hell, unsure if they could escape their fate and avoid being separated by death...
Yan Luoxi looked at Li An. She pursed her lips, blinked her eyes, and a thin layer of watery mist that had gathered in her eyes dropped down.
Tears fell from her one drop at a time, wetting the thin blanket covering her legs. She truly didn't want to cry pitifully in front of so many people, but upon seeing Li An, she couldn't help feeling her nose turn sour and sitting hesitantly by the bed, wanting to touch Li An yet unsure how to proceed.
When Li An saw that Yan Luoxi was crying, his eye sockets were also slightly red.
Surviving a great calamity, only to reunite!
Luo Yi was an understanding person; upon seeing the expressions on their faces, he immediately led the medical staff out of the ward, leaving no one behind in the large room except for the two tearful individuals.
"Luoxi, don't cry. Aren't we both fine now" Li An's voice was unusually gentle.
With them so close, Yan Luoxi could clearly see the deep dark circles under Li An’s eyes and the patches of stubble on his chin. He seemed to have lost weight rapidly and there were bandages wrapped around him.
Yan Luoxi knew that Li An hadn't been doing well during his hospital stay, her heart ached and she let more tears fall.
The bright lights shone on Yan Luoxi’s face. The tears glistened under the light like a small stream emanating from her heart, winding across her fair cheeks; one drop at a time, they fell onto the bedsheet, Li An's hand, and his heart.
Lǐ'ān felt pain in his heart, yet also happiness, realizing that he too could have this day, the day when Yánluòxī would truly love him.
Lǐ'ān gave a faint smile and stretched out his hand to wipe away Yánluòxī's tears from her face. "Little fool, stop crying. As they say, those who survive great hardships are surely blessed later on. After everything we've been through, it seems our good days will soon be here."
Previously, Yánluòxī was used to concealing her true feelings in front of Lǐ'ān, maintaining a certain maidenly shyness no matter what she said or did. But after experiencing this life-or-death situation, she didn't want to live under false pretenses any longer. Love should be openly declared, so that the other person knows; otherwise there might never be another chance.
"Okay, I won’t cry anymore. I’ll wait for a good life with you from now on." Yánluòxī nodded in agreement without beating around the bush.
Lǐ'ān’s heart leapt with joy. His pale face flushed red and his eyes shone brightly; he seemed as if he would float up to the clouds at any moment. He pursed his lips tightly together, afraid that he might laugh uncontrollably.
Though his body remained still, he reached out to hold Yánluòxī's hand, and they gazed into each other’s eyes full of affection for a long time. It was hard to tell how much time had passed before Lǐ'ān moved first, reaching out gently to lift the clothes she was wearing.
Yánluòxī jumped in surprise and quickly stepped back, her wet, clear eyes looking at Lǐ'ān with confusion. "What are you doing There are still so many people around..."
"Idiot girl, don’t think I’m that capable now! Even if I wanted to do something, it’s not possible!" Lǐ'ān laughed in a mischievous way.
"Then why are you doing this" Yánluòxī irritably swatted away Lǐ'ān's hand from her clothes.
"I just want to see your injuries, so I don’t always worry about them," said Lǐ'ān in an oddly tender and concerned voice that made Yánluòxī’s heart soften.
She lowered her head, her face turning red. "No need to look, I don't have any major wounds on me, just some minor scratches."
"Oh, is that so." Li An nodded seriously. "Then I'll have to tell my brother to get the best scar ointment for me. Otherwise, if you end up with scars all over your body, my life won't be easy either. Then when touching your skin…"
"Shut up!" Yan Luoxi's face was flushed as she reached out and pinched Li An's unharmed hand back. "Do you feel uncomfortable if you don’t talk nonsense for a while"
Li An winced in pain but smiled sweetly, happily accepting Yan Luoxi’s punishment.
This night, the happy couple, who were also at odds with each other after enduring countless ups and downs, finally shared a room again, though they slept separately on two single beds.
Before going to bed, Li An repeatedly asked the doctors to move his bed together with Yan Luoxi's and combine them into one big bed. Yan Luoxi was so embarrassed by this ridiculous request that she wanted to bury herself under the ground.
"Don't do it! This is already good enough!" She practically screamed to stop Li An from carrying out his absurd idea.
"Why are you afraid I’m like this now, they won’t think too much about it!" Li An looked at Yan Luoxi in puzzlement and couldn’t understand her annoyed refusal.
Yan Luoxi was so angry that she turned cold. "If you continue to talk nonsense like this, I will immediately ask my big brother to arrange for me to stay in another room."
Li An didn't dare to push Yan Luoxi anymore; the final compromise was a fifty-centimeter distance between their beds.e the window and then stuffed cotton balls into her ears before lying back down to sleep. When she woke up, it was already late in the day.
