The very evening they moved into the villa, after dinner, they went for a walk on the beach where they encountered a homeless stray dog. It was somewhat dirty and seemed hungry as it wagged its tail and barked at them. As Li An and Yan Luoxi walked forward, the puppy followed behind them, unwilling to part.
Li An liked dogs and really wanted to adopt this little puppy but since he knew that Yan Luoxi didn’t like dogs, all he could do was grit his teeth and drag her along.
Yan Luoxi turned around to look at the puppy. It had big, misty eyes and looked pitiful as it followed behind them. She couldn't help but say, "Li An, why don’t we adopt it"
"Didn’t you hate dogs most before" Li An was delighted but still a bit skeptical.
“Yes, now I hate you the most,” Yan Luoxi smiled slightly.
The puppy came back to the villa with them. Li An instructed the staff to give it a thorough bath. Once freed from dirt and grime, the little puppy turned out to be a brown poodle. After eating its fill, it looked lively again, with big eyes twinkling.
The little dog was quite popular and seemed to know who was in charge of the house, constantly trying to get close to Yan Luoxixi, wagging its tail to please her.
Seeing this obedient little dog made Yan Luoxixi's heart full of joy. She carefully bent down and picked up the puppy, hugging it close. The warm and soft feeling made her feel comforted, and soon enough, she and the dog were getting along well.
In the evening when they went to sleep, Li An naturally invited Yan Luoxixi to sleep in the big bed of the main bedroom, but instead, she carried the small pug into the guest room next door.

Midnight came, and she felt thirsty. Reluctantly opening her eyes to get a drink of water, she saw the little mortal sleeping on the carpet in front of her.
In a daze, she turned her head towards the side, only to see a person sleeping where the puppy had been lying earlier, with a smug smile on his lips.
Yan Luoxi couldn't do anything about this stubborn guy who was arguing with a dog. As punishment, she bent down and kissed Li An's forehead lightly before smiling sweetly and nestling into his embrace.
The next morning, Yan Luoxi and Li An were woken up by the anxious barking of the puppy. With bleary eyes, Yan Luoxi looked at the dog in confusion as it was pacing around frantically.
Li An knew that dogs had certain habits; he understood that the puppy needed to relieve itself. He quickly got out of bed and opened the door for him. The puppy rushed outside once it saw the door open.
Yan Luoxi was startled awake by the dog's barking, lying quietly in bed for a while before her heart rate slowly calmed down. Seeing Li An return to bed and wrap his arms around her, she felt enveloped by his breaths.
